About Us

Our History

Eastern Hills Basketball Association (EHBA) is the heart of basketball in the Adelaide Hills region.

Eastern Hills Basketball Association (EHBA) has been a cornerstone of community sport in the Adelaide Hills for decades. Established to provide local players with access to organised basketball in a supportive and inclusive environment, EHBA has grown from a small grassroots competition into a thriving regional association.

What began as a handful of passionate players and volunteers running games in local school gyms has evolved into a well-structured organisation offering competitions across all age groups — from Under 10s through to A Grade Men’s and Women’s. Over the years, EHBA has continually adapted and expanded to meet the needs of our growing region, particularly with the rapid development of Mount Barker and surrounding areas.

Our success has always been built on the strength of our community — dedicated volunteers, passionate players, and supportive families. Many members have contributed to our journey, and we proudly recognise their efforts through our Life Membership program.

Whilst we deeply appreciate the long-term commitment and contributions of all our Life Members, Brian and Helen Raison stand out as two of our most esteemed contributors. Their decades of service, tireless volunteering, and genuine love for the game have helped shape the very foundations of EHBA. Their legacy continues to inspire future generations both on and off the court.

Today, we honour our past while looking to the future, committed to providing quality basketball opportunities and growing the game we love across the Eastern Hills.
